MANY HANDS MAKE LIGHT WORK

The Bay of Islands is a very attractive anchorage for many visiting cruise ships. They anchor in the Bay and ‘tender’ their passengers into the wharf at Waitangi.

Blah Blah Marketing have been working with the cruise ships for the past 14 years.

  • Employing, training and managing the Ambassadors who meet and greet the passengers as they come off their ship to board a shuttle bus to Paihia as well as manage congestion at the maritime building when passengers return to the ship.  We currently employ 12 local Ambassadors.
  • Sending out communications to local businesses regarding cruise ship arrivals, changes and cancellations.
  • Shorex – work with several companies that provide the cruise ships on board tours.  Facilitating the smooth transition of passengers from the ship onto their tour.
  • Working MPI and local hapu to employ tangata whenua to pass on bio security information to cruise ship passengers.  This worked incredibly well this year. We had the pleasure of employing, training and working with 6 locals this past season.
  •  Check out the video below to see how the season went for the Mana Moana Ambassadors.
